Make the Most of the Coast Meetup
Saturday 11 January
Eastney - 10pm - 2 Hours

A beach location is perfect for photography due to its raw, natural beauty and the variety of textures available. Elements like fishing boats, rusty chains, and debris add character and tell a story of time and nature's effects. These subjects, often weathered by saltwater and wind, offer incredible texture and contrast that can be accentuated through black and white photography. The rust on chains or the peeling paint on boats brings out rugged details, perfect for monochrome imagery, where shadows and highlights become more pronounced. Beach photography also allows for creative compositions, from close-up shots of decaying materials to expansive landscapes with a moody, atmospheric feel.
